Abstract Comparative studies on the surface structures of conidiophores and conidia of the two morphologically distinct forms of the kerosene fungus Cladosporium resinae (Lindau) de Vries were made with the light microscope and scanning electron microscope. The waited nature of conidiophores and ramoconidia, seen in the light microscope, were confirmed in the scanning electron microscope. Blastospores lacked surface ornamentation.
