Lindbergia maritima, a new moss species from New Zealand

Abstract Lindbergia maritima sp. nov. is described and illustrated from New Zealand. It is characterised by the lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, short acute leaves with one central papilla on either side of the cells, by the brood-branchlets in axillary clusters at the stem apices, and by the habitat on seashore rocks.
