Contributions to a chromosome atlas of the New Zealand flora 18 Epilobium (Onagraceae)

Abstract Documented chromosome numbers are provided for the 41 indigenous species and subspecies of Epilobium in New Zealand and also for 4 natural hybrids and the 5 recorded naturalised species (Table 1). A comparative list (Table 2) covers the genus in Australia (12 spp. and subspp., including 6 in common with New Zealand) and New Guinea (4 spp.).
