Gingidia baxteri and Gingidia enysii (Umbelliferae)

Abstract Field, glasshouse, and herbarium material of Gingidia enysii was examined. As a result Gingidium enysii (Kirk) Dawson var. baxteri Dawson is given specific rank as Gingidia baxteri (Dawson) Webb.

It is concluded that the variation shown by Gingidia enysii is continuous and that varietal rank for any of the forms is unwarranted. Anisotome patula (Kirk) Ckn. is reduced to synonymy within Gingidia enysii.

Variation within G. enysii and G. baxteri is discussed.
