Shore line flora and vegetation of Lake Pukaki, South Canterbury, New Zealand

Abstract A list of 400 vascular plant species found at Lake Pukaki is presented with a brief analysis of the flora. Notes are given on 4 type localities, and 11 species with restricted distributions, occurring in the area. The plant communities which will be affected by raising the lake level for hydroelectricity development are briefly described.
