Pollen morphology of Phyllocladus L C. et A. Rich.
David T. Pocknall
Department of Botany, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand
Abstract The pollen of the five species of
Phyllocladus has been studied using light and electron microscopy. The pollen morphology is basically uniform rendering specific identification impossible. The "region of weakness" previously reported for
Dacrydium and/Wo-
carpus is clearly illustrated in all species of
Phyllocladus.
Keywords Phyllocladus; Phyllocladaceae; pollen morphology
