Abstract Two new species of
Phoma Sacc. are described.
Phoma nigricans sp. nov. was isolated from dead leaf and twig tissue on various woody and herbaceous plants;
P. pratorum sp. nov. was isolated from the leaves of grasses. Neither species initiated disease symptoms during inoculation tests.
