Abstract  Eight species are recognised in the second part of a revision of Carmichaelia. These are C. appressa, C. arborea, C. australis, C. hollowayi, C. kirkii, C. odorata, C. petriei, and C. williamsii. Carmichaelia arborea is the earliest name for plants previously known as C. grandiflora. Carmichaelia odorata includes C. angustata and C. glabrata in synonymy, and C. australis is the earliest name for the widespread shrubby broom which previous authors have segregated into numerous species, including C. aligera, C. flagelliformis, C. ovata, and C. robusta.

Synonymy, descriptions, distribution maps, habitats, variation, and illustrations are presented. Conservation status is discussed for C. appressa, C. hollowayi, C. kirkii, and C. williamsii.
