Workplan for 2005/6

• Sponsor attendance by St Cuthbert’s College E=mc² video team at Circa Theatre performance of “Bright Star”, 23 September. The girls produced a video about Beatrice Tinsley’s early life.
• Support, as appropriate, NZ evaluation re Australia’s bid to build world’s largest radio telescope – the Square Kilometre Array.
• Support Big Science Adventures with astronomy information for website
• Sponsor Awa Press to help publish 2004 Transit of Venus Lecture Series
• Liaison with the International Astronomical Union. Appoint committee representative for the next General Assembly is in Prague in 2006. Prepare and submit nominations for members of the IAU.
• Teleconference if necessary, otherwise communication with Committee members by email.
