Qualities of panellists
Potential panellists are expected to have strong leadership and
strategic thinking qualities with a broad view of the New Zealand
science system. Potential Panellists or nominators should read and
consider the Statement of Purpose to ascertain
their interest and suitability.
The Panel has 12 members appointed by the RSNZ Council, that will
represent the various research sectors in New Zealand.
How to send nominations or expressions of interest:
- PLEASE
NOTE. CLOSING DATE OF MAY 25, 2006 IS NOW PAST. NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED
- Core details: 1 page including potential Panellists’ name,
position, and address for contact, plus two signatures of nominators
with their names and contact details, or in the case of expressions of
interest supply the names of 3 referees who would support the
expression of interest.
- Reason - 150 words on why the nominee is considered to be
suited to the task of the Panel or why the person expressing an
interest is keen to be on the Panel.
- Short CV: no more than 4 pages (A4) outlining current
position (job title, affiliation, or directorships etc), career path,
list of relevant achievements. A comprehensive list of
publications is not necessary, although reference to a few examples of
recent highly cited publications may be included if you consider them
relevant. Further information will be requested by the RSNZ
Council in June if necessary during the shortlisting process.
