Performance indicators

 The Royal Society performance indicators have been drawn down from the Society's Act, and assist in the monitoring of RSNZ performance in the following areas:

  • promotion of public awareness, knowledge, and understanding of science and technology;
  • advancement of science and technology education;
  • encouraging, promoting and recognising excellence in science and technology;
  • providing infrastructure and other support for the professional needs and development of scientists and technologists;
  • providing expert advice on science and technology public issues to the government and the community, and;
  • organisational financial performance.

All areas (except the last) have been assigned both New Zealand-wide and RSNZ indicators.
