Objectives of the BP Challenge

• Encourage and develop problem-solving skills using simple problems and common materials within performance goals and constraints of time and materials;
• Encourage co-operative group effort and the effective utilisation of individual skills and knowledge;
• Introduce elements of competition and fun into problem solving.

To ensure a genuine challenge for students, the BP Challenges are designed to allow the development of several equally viable 'solutions'.

This provides a choice of development pathways and enables team performance to contribute to success.

Individual BP Challenges can be used on their own in a classroom or several can be selected for a regional competition.
