Planet Earth

Earth learning idea is a new initiative launching as part of the International Year of Planet Earth - 2008. Every week during IYPE a new Earth learning idea will be published on the website. The ideas require minimal resources, so can be used in nearly every classroom around the world. Each idea is designed for teachers to interact with their students to learn more about how the Earth works - and for the teachers to interact with each other across the world through the Earthlearningidea blog .
The Earth learning idea refrain is:

an Earth science teaching idea every week;

at minimal cost, with minimal resources;

for teacher educators and teachers of Earth science through school-level geography or science;

an online discussion around every idea;

to develop a global network.
