Criteria for Applicants

To be eligible for funding, an organisation must:

• be a recognised national body or educational provider, such as a federation, university, school or incorporated society; and
• have a national membership and/or focus or be a part of a national body, the majority of whom are principals, classroom teachers or early childhood educators.
  

To be eligible for funding, the conference/wānanga must:

• foster the professional learning of principals, teachers or early childhood educators; and
• focus on effective teaching to improve learning outcomes for diverse learners.
  

Preference will be given to conferences which are longer than one day in duration.

NB: Effective teaching has been identified as a key influence on education outcomes.
