Youth ANZAAS 2008                           

Dunedin July 5th – 11th 2008

What is Youth ANZAAS?

A residential conference for New Zealand and Australian science students in Years 12 and 13.

The Royal Society of New Zealand is delighted to announce that with the generous support of Freemasons NZ there will be a Australia New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science) ANZAAS Youth Forum taking place in New Zealand for the first time in 60 years.

Up to 40 students from Australia and New Zealand will be selected to attend this five day event which will include scenic visits and will coincide with the New Zealand International Science Festival where the participants will meet some  fantastic key speakers and have the opportunity to select workshops and lectures that they are interested in.

All students will stay together at John McGlashan College, Dunedin.  

All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by Freemasons NZ however each student will be required to pay a small fee of $150.00 towards costs.   Students must have a passion for science and be studying at least two science subjects.  Letters of recommendation are required from the HOD Science and the Principal together with a letter from the applicant outlining what makes them a suitable candidate.
