Andrea Stebbing

Andrea Stebbing was selected by the Royal Society to attend the Australian International Space Camp in 1999.

While at college Andrea decided that she would like to pursue a career in aviation, so after Form Seven she started her Private Pilot’s License at Ardmore Aerodrome in Auckland.

After one year Andrea was certain that aviation was the right path for her to follow, and due to the high costs involved she searched for a full-time course with the help of funding. This led her to Hawke’s Bay where she completed just over 2 and a half years of the Diploma of Operational Aviation. This qualification involves sitting a Private Pilot’s License, Commercial Pilot’s License, Instrument Rating, Flight Instructor Ratings, and various business papers.

In July 2003 she moved onto a new opportunity within aviation, by taking up a position as a Flight Instructor with her original training organisation at Ardmore Airfield. The company was bought out by two English training establishments in quick succession, and then relocated to Hamilton Massey University this year.

Moving into the future she is looking to reach a point with her psychology knowledge where she can split her time between flight instruction and psychology pursuits. Andrea  would love to combine the two disciplines so that she is able to continue helping students, and airline employees with their training, selection, and life management.
