IGAC Young Scientist Travel Awards The Royal Society of New Zealand and the International Global
Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) Project invite applications for the 2008
IGAC Young Scientist Travel Awards. These awards are intended to
allow young New Zealand scientists to attend the 10th IGAC Conference
2008: "Bridging the Scale in Atmospheric Chemistry: Local to Global" to
be held in Annecy-le-Vieux, France during 7-12 September 2008. Applicants should be: under the age of 35 on 1 January 2008; carrying out research in New Zealand in the general areas of atmospheric chemistry as described on the IGAC website and must be prepared to submit an abstract on their work to the conference by the abstract deadline of 31 March 2008. Two awards may be made of up to $NZD5,000 each, depending on the
quality and number of applications.
Applications close at 4.00pm on Thursday 6 March 2008 Applicants will be informed of the result of their application by 20 March 2008. Confirmation of the awards will be made on receipt by Royal Society of NZ of a copy of the Symposium acknowledgment of abstract submission.
