Professor NK Kasabov frsnz

Professor Kasabov is a leader in the field of artificial intelligence, knowledge engineering and intelligent information systems. He has developed, published and patented novel methods that have been successfully applied in several scientific areas such as bioinformatics, spoken language and communication systems and decision support systems. His book "Foundations of Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Engineering (MIT Press, 1996) is widely cited. In addition to developing new scientific methods, Professor Kasabov has played a significant role in giving a vision for the future directions of information science. He is consulted internationally and has greatly raised the international profile of information science in New Zealand.
