A new species of cucujid beetle,
Platisus zelandicus n. sp., from the
Three Kings Islands, New Zealand, is described and illustrated from the adult
and larva.
Platisus zelandicus is compared with adults and larvae of
Australian species of
Platisus. Aspects of its biology and relationships
with other cucujid species are discussed.
