Abstract  ‘G35’ Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.) was bred to provide a genetic selection of sainfoin that was better adapted to the climate of New Zealand than cultivars obtainable from overseas.

1Each germplasm is the product of a completed or significant breeding programme, but the breeders are not seeking Plant Variety Rights. Germplasms are available free as “concept cultivars”, intended as research materials or for further localised breeding projects. Requests for seed should be made to the corresponding author. Germplasm releases are not fully refereed.
