‘GO192’ purple chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) was bred to provide genetic material with potentially extractable high levels of the anti-oxidant anthocyanin, that is regarded as having benefits for a wide range of health conditions.
1Each germplasm is the product of a completed or significant breeding programme, but the breeders are not seeking Plant Variety Rights. Germplasms are available free as “concept cultivars”, intended as research materials or for further localised breeding projects. Requests for seed should be made to the corresponding author. Germplasm releases are not fully refereed.
