Correction

Abstract Ushiyama et al. (1969) stated that "Phormium tenax is endemic to New Zealand and Oliarus atkinsoni is endemic to New Zealand and Norfolk Island". It has been brought to our notice that Endlicher (1833) recorded P. tenax on Norfolk Island collected by "Forst., King, Bauer"; and that Laing (1912) regarded the species as certainly indigenous on Norfolk.
