RECORDS OF FUNGAL PLANT DISEASES IN NEW ZEALAND

Abstract One new plant pathogenic fungus is described
(Cladosporium scillae); eight fungi are recorded in the country for the first time
(Centrospora ucerina, Cercoseptoria theae, Cercospora myrticola, Entyloma microsporum, Phleospora robiniae, Phomopsis tuberivora, Ramularia aequivoca, R. lapsanae); and new host records are given for six species
(Botryosphaeria dothidea, Cercosporella brassicae, Cylindrocladium scopurium, Pseudopeziz.ii medicaginis, Rosellinia necatrix, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum)I. In addition taxonomic notes are given for four species previously recorded in New Zealand under other names
(ltersonilia pastinacac, Phleospora crescenlium, Pyrenochaeta lycopersici, Spermospora bromivora).
