Endoparasites infecting nematodes in New Zealand

Abstract  Several species of endoparasitic fungi parasitising nematodes, some of which constitute new records in New Zealand, are described: Verticillium balanoides (Drechsler) Dowsett, Reid & Hopkin, Drechmeria coniospora (Drechsler) Gams & Jansson, Harposporium bysmatosporum Drechsler, Harposporium helicoides Drechsler, Harposporium leptospira Drechsler, Haptoglossa heterospora Drechsler, and Hirsutella rhossiliensis Minter & Brady. Some characteristics of Myzocytium spp., an unidentified fungus, and an actinomycete species are also reported.
