Uncinia obtusifolia (Cyperaceae), a new species of hooked sedge in New Zealand

Abstract  Uncinia obtusifolia Heenan is described as a new species from New Zealand. This widespread plant has previously been included in U. nervosa as an unnamed slender-leaved form. Uncinia obtusifolia is distinguished from U. nervosa by narrower leaves, culms, spikes, and utricles, longer utricles, shorter glumes, more distant florets, and a narrower and longer nut.
