Abstract A new species of Selliera is described from
New Zealand. S. rotundifolia is a rhizomatous perennial herb, and is
distinguished from S. radicans by rotund leaves which are appressed to
the ground, a shorter pedicel, and smaller flowers. S. rotundifolia
occurs on sand plains along the western coast of Wellington province and is
considered to be an endangered species.
