Abstract Mazus pumilio is recorded from New Zealand,
having recently been considered to be restricted to Australia. The species is
accepted as indigenous and is considered a vagrant. A description of
M.
pumilio, based on New Zealand plants, and features that distinguish it from
M. novaezeelandiae are presented, as are observations on its
distribution, habitat, and conservation status.
Keywords Scrophulariaceae; Mazus; M.
