Abstract The small epiphytic liverwort
Cololejeunea
cardiocarpa (Lejeuneaceae) is reported for the first time from New
Zealand. It is a widespread species known from the Neotropics with outliers in
the south-eastern USA, Africa, and recent reports from New Caledonia and
tropical Australia.
