Two of the species occur on fallen leaves of CoprosmaM. coprosmae is found throughout the country, most commonly on C. robusta ; M. microcoprosmae is found from Greymouth northward, only on C. grandifolia . The third species, M. griseliniae , is found on fallen leaves of Griselinia littoralis from Wellington southward. Rutstroemia macrospora (= Ciboria peckiana ) is reported from New Zealand for the first time. A short discussion is provided on generic concepts amongst Sclerotiniaceae and Rutstroemiaceae.
