A new species of Podocarpus from the maquis of New Caledonia

Abstract  A new species of Podocarpus section Foliolatus is described, Podocarpus beecherae, from the moist southern maquis of New Caledonia. It is most closely related to P. novae-caledoniae of the same area but has a distinct ecology and various morphological differences.
