Abstract  The anamorphic features of Golovinomyces hyoscyami and G. verbasci have been insufficiently known for taxonomic purposes. To fill the gap, conidia, conidiophores, hyphae, appressoria, germination of conidia, and other characters of taxonomic value for these two species are described and illustrated.

Keywords  primary conidia; powdery mildew fungi; Erysiphaceae
