Abstract New data affect the lectotypification of
the agrostidoids Dichelachne crinita, Echinopogon ovatus,
Lachnagrostis filiformis, and Trisetum antarcticum, all
based on specimens collected here by J. R. and G. Forster in the
18th century. Appropriate corrections are made to the citation of the
designators of lectotypes. The wide range of polyploidy, especially
among species in the subtribe Agrostidinae, is emphasized.
