Abstract A recent review on cold hardiness provided estimates from various sources for some southernmost limits of palm species which are erroneous or outdated. Here I provide corrected estimates for the southernmost limits of Livistona, Rhopalostylis, and Jubaea in Australia, New Zealand, and South America, respectively.

Keywords Australia; Chile; Jubaea; latitude; Livistona; New Zealand; palms; Rhopalostylis
