A NOTE ON THE FAUNA OF A RIPPLE-MARKED SANDY SEDIMENT IN WESTERN COOK STRAIT, NEW ZEALAND

I. N. Estcourt

New Zealand Oceanographic Institute, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research

Abstract Photographs of a ripple-marked sea bed are reproduced together with the results of a mechanical analysis of the sediment and a list of the animals found. The sparseness of the fauna is attributed to the mobility of the substrate.
