FIRST SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE RECORD OF THE PLATYLEPADINE BARNACLE STOMATOLEPAS ELEGANS (COSTA) AND NOTES ON THE HOST DERMOCHELYS CORIACEA (LINNE)

Abstract The first Southern Hemisphere occurrence of the platylepadine barnacle Stomatolepas elegans (Costa) is recorded. The host animal was a young leather-back turtle (Dermochelys coriacea (Linne) ) .
