OCCURRENCE OF GALAXIID LARVAE AND JUVENILES IN THE SEA

Abstract The occurrence of galaxiid'juveniles in the sea up to 700 km from New Zealand is recorded. A total of 135 fish is recorded from 49 samples in which gal&xiids occurred. Data on change in length with month of capture indicate that the marine life involves part of only one calendar yeanfpiobably 6-7 months.
