Box 297, Wellington, New Zealand Abstract This book is a collection of papers presented at a conference of the physiological and behavioural manipulation of food fish as production and management tools, at Bellagio, Italy, in November 1977. The first chapter is an introduction which gives a broad overview of the matters covered in the contributed papers which follow. For those who wish to know whether the book will be of interest to them, this introduction should provide the answer.
