A new echiuran species Thalassema malakhovi (Echiura) from New Zealand

Abstract A new echiuran Thalassema malakhovi, collected at 20 m depth off the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is described. The possibility of using the structure of the nephrostome for subgrouping Thalassema species is discussed. The generic diagnosis of Thalassema Pallas is given.
