The authors regret that they made a mistake in using organic carbon content and cation exchange capacity of the fine fraction of the aquifer material for the bulk aquifer material. This affects a few calculations in the paper related to organic carbon content.
Page 280, right column, first paragraph: "with a low cation exchange capacity (5.3 me/100 g) and low organic carbon content (0.23%)." should be corrected to: "with a low cation exchange capacity (0.96 me/100 g) and low organic carbon content (0.04%).".
Page 289, left column, first paragraph: "Knowing that the aquifer OC=0.23% as given previously" should be corrected to: "Knowing that the aquifer OC=0.04% as given previously". In the same sentence, "calculated Kd values for the aquifer would be 0.23 (0.09-0.40) ml/g for atrazine and 0.04 (0.02-0.37) ml/g for picloram, which are slightly higher than the batch-derived values." should be corrected to: "calculated Kd values for the aquifer would be 0.04 (0.02-0.07) ml/g for atrazine and 0.01 (0.00-0.03) ml/g for picloram, which are similar to the batch-derived values." The following sentences in the paragraph should be deleted.
