A new species of Peritropis Uhler, the first record of Cylapinae
(Hemiptera: Miridae) from New Zealand

Abstract The subfamily Cylapinae is recorded from New Zealand
for the first time. The new species Peritropis aotearoae is described
and illustrated. Taxonomic characters of Cylapinae and Peritropis Uhler
are presented and the zoogeography of the genus is discussed.
