Key to the genera of Mirinae (Hemiptera: Miridae) in New Zealand and
descriptions of new taxa

Abstract This paper provides illustated keys to the two
tribes, and the 17 genera (including six introduced genera), of the subfamily
Mirinae represented in New Zealand.
Anexochus crassicornis, a new genus
and species of Mirinae from New Zealand, is described and figured. The new
genus is compared with, and distinguished from, the Australian genera
Pseudopantilius Reuter, 1904 and
Austrocapsus Kirkaldy, 1901.
Tuicoris lipurus n. sp. is described and figured, and the genus
Tuicoris Eyles & Carvalho, 1995 is redefined. If not previously
described, the female genitalia of the New Zealand genera of Mirinae, are
described and illustrated. The eggs of four genera are described.
