Scanned
PDFs: a caveat
PDFs that have been produced by scanning paper copies of the manuscripts have
the text as a selectable (and searchable) object under the image of the text;
to get the text you just choose the text tool in the Acrobat menu bar and highlight
the
text that you want. However, this text is not always accurate; if there are
any
differences
between the text you extract using the text tool and what you see
on screen (or print),
the latter is the correct text. If there are any more serious problems (wrong
pdf, corrupted pdf, etc), please
tell us.
The scanning of NZJB, NZJMFR, JRSNZ, and NZJZ (1994-2001 issues) is funded
by the Terrestrial and Freshwater Biodiversity Information System (TFBIS) Programme
of the Department of Conservation.
