Journal submission

This is intended for the initial submission of papers to the journals listed below. Only pdfs will be accepted for initial consideration (see here for more info on generating pdfs)

Please note that page charges of US/NZ$70 (to a maximum of $700 per paper) will apply to all submissions upon publication. For New Zealand authors only, page charges will be waived upon application if no funding is available for publication.

The page charge for Kotuitui: New Zealand Journal of Social Sciences Online is US/NZ$50.

Authors may opt for payment of an Open Access fee of US/NZ$1500 in lieu of page charges.

  • Only send PDFs!
  • Mac users: please put the .pdf file extension on your file before sending.
  • turn on page numbers & line numbers before generating the pdf
  • keep filesizes small as possible: referees may be on the end of a slow connection. About 5MB should be the absolute maximum. The best way of reducing filesize is to reduce resolution in graphics.
  • We still need a hard copy! We generally do not process submissions until we have received hard copy (except for the NZ Journal of Zoology).
