Alison Dalziel and colleagues presented the government’s Sustainable Development Programme of Action (PDF) followed by discussions on the programme of action. The research and background papers that were e-mailed to participants before the forum are now available here: 1. Long term thinking for sustainability 2. Sustainability -a scientific dilema - ANZSEE SD ThinkTank (in PDF) (and John Peet's presentation in PDF, 1MB) 3. 2025 - then what? (and Steve Goldthorpe's presentation PDF) 5. How should the membership of 'Sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand’ (SANZ) be determined? 6. Options for a Sustainable Development Advisory Body (SDAB) The afternoon session involved discussions on the Constitution of Sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand (SANZ), after which appointments of volunteers were made for an interim management committee (board) for the organisation. This interim committee is charged with finalising the constitution according to the feedback received during the discussion, working on the financial resourcing of the organisation and planning the inaugural meeting of SANZ.
